This summer's adventure is hiking the Wonderland Trail around Mt. Rainier 14 days of hiking, 93 miles and an accumulation of 22,000' elevation gain. Can't think of a better way to spend part of my summer. Diane Collins, David and Kenna Valentich and I are in for a trip of a life time! David and Kenna will be bailing 1/3 through the trip so Kenna can get to girls camp. Diane and I will be the troopers!!!

As of today, there is still snow between Summerland and Indian Bar - this is typical as the snow does not melt too quickly in that area. There is still snow at Devil's Dream and a tiny bit here and there. I'm hoping with the warm weather this week, there will be less snow next week.
We'll have a food cache at Longmire and Sheri will meet us at Mowich to bring us more supplies. We are collecting items and have been out hiking to prepare ourselves for the hike. We might all die from exhaustion, but it will all be worth every step we take! Until next update..
